Page Settings Documentation
This guide covers all the features available under Page Settings in your Shopify page builder/editor. You can use this as reference documentation for your team or clients.
I. SEO & Social
This section is designed to optimize your page for search engines and social media sharing.
Page keyword
Enter the main keywords that describe your page.
These help search engines understand the topic of your page.
Example:
organic skincare, vegan lotion, eco-friendly moisturizer.
Page title
This is the title that will appear in search engine results and browser tabs.
Keep it clear, descriptive, and under 60 characters.
Example:
Organic Skincare | Your Brand Name.
Page description
The meta description that appears under your page title in search results.
Aim for 150–160 characters with a clear call to action.
Example:
Discover our collection of eco-friendly skincare products made with natural ingredients. Shop now for healthy, glowing skin.
Preview
Shows a live preview of how your page will look in search engine results.
Social media image
Upload an image that will be displayed when the page is shared on social media platforms.
Recommended size: 1200x630 px (works well for Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter).
II. Tracking Code
This section allows you to connect your page with analytics and advertising platforms to track visitor behavior and campaign performance.
Facebook pixel ID
Add your Facebook Pixel to track conversions and run targeted ads.TikTok pixel ID
Track events and measure ad performance on TikTok.Google Analytics ID
Enter your Google Analytics Measurement ID (e.g.,UA-XXXXXXXXX-X) to monitor page traffic, user behavior, and conversions.Google Tag Manager ID
Allows you to manage multiple marketing and analytics tags from one place without editing the code manually.Google Ads ID
Add your Google Ads conversion tracking ID (e.g.,AW-XXXXXXXXX) to measure ad performance and optimize campaigns.
III. JavaScript / CSS Code
This section gives you full control over adding custom scripts and styles.
You have four insertion points:
Start of
<head>tag – For global scripts, meta tags, or external stylesheets (e.g., Google Fonts).End of
<head>tag – For scripts that must load after other head elements (e.g., structured data).Start of
<body>tag – Ideal for tags like Google Tag Manager (if required here).End of
<body>tag – Good for scripts that should load last, like chat widgets or analytics.
Important: Always verify your code before adding it. Poorly written scripts can break your page layout or slow down loading speed.
IV. Page Settings
This section allows you to control whether the page uses your Shopify theme’s global header and footer.
Use Shopify theme header & footer
Checked: Your page will inherit the store’s main header and footer (navigation, logo, footer links).
Unchecked: The page will load without the default header/footer — useful for landing pages that require a distraction-free layout.
